Computer Shop near Mercadona

The Computer shop near the Mercadona / Lidl, is a waste of space and their customer service is non-existance.

My hubby has now waited 5 weeks for a new laptop screen!!!! he was told it would take 3 - 4 days.

After 8 days he called in and was told it was in transit, but not arrived, I went down a week later as we had not heard anything to be told it was still not there, so I asked to speak to the boss, who they told me was downstairs in the travel agent.

But he was not there, so they said he must be on lunch and they would contact him on his return and ring me by 4pm - I asked for their local phone number, but they said they had problems with their phone line.

But I did receive a call at 4.15pm to say the boss had not paid for the screen so it had not been sent, but it had now been paid for and ordered and should of been here last Tuesday!!!!!!

So, yesterday, 6 days after so called delivery - still having no phone call my hubby called in again and cancelled the order to which the member of staff said "ok no problem"!!!!!

I should also add, that while I was there a couple of weeks ago there was a very distressed/upset lady who was trying to get her printer replaced - it was still under guarantee, but was getting nowhere.


I have had the same problems with the same shop, not once but three times. I now order anything I want from Amazon .es.

I agree with Mike, order it yourself from Amazon or ebay. It will probably be cheaper and you can change the screen yourself. My husband has done ours before with no trouble at all and it cost about £60.

You will find them next door to thr Corner Shop run by Jean and Eugenio where you will asways be made welcome for Teas, Coffees, cold drinks and home made food whilst you wait if the repair to your computer is a quickie.

My experience with the computer shop is they are very expensive. I wanted a charger from them for a certain make lap top. They wanted €69 euros. Also when my laptop completely failed back in May I took it to them and they said the mother board had gone. They quoted just under €400 euros for parts, not labour.
When you look on line at places like maplin it would of cost me £180 maximum.
As for the adaptor amazon done the exact same one the computer shop was offering and the total cost was £28 pounds, not €69 euros.
The computer shop is very pricey.

I had my laptop wiped and rebuilt after a virus and they were very good only took 24hours and only cost me 29 euros and he managed to save all my photos, suppose it's like anywhere else you here good and bad but I was pleased with them as I know the computer shop charge 3 times more than that.

For your information, these are the facts of the matter: The screens for laptops are products that are shipped from Holland. They normally are supplied within 24/48 hours, and are normally delivered within 72 hours of shipping. In this case, the problem has been that the screen that was ordered was not in stock. The order was processed, but the supplier failed to notify us that there was shortage of stock.

Consequently then the merchandise is not delivered because there is no products available.

Unfortunately this can happen - and it happens more frequently with some suppliers then with others.

We work hard to try to satisfy all clients. The matter of fact is that you ordered the screen on the 11th. of July, and have not been waiting 5 weeks for it. But that is ok. You chose to cancel the order, and that is not a problem. Should you want us to re-order the screen we are more then happy to do that. I have just checked and the screens are in stock now.

In addition, we changed our telephone number 4 months ago to be able to offer to our clients a free number. If you call us from ANY landline in Spain you call us free of charge. Our number is: 810101095.

Our original order with paperwork here was on Monday, 25th June, when we arrived at the shop (approx) 3pm, there was a note on the door saying back in 5 mins, so we waited and the person came back with his pitza and apologised but said he was the only one working.

Originally he said he may be able to get us a 2nd hand screen as he had some in stock, but when he rang us later that day he said he would have to order one, which would be with his within 4 - 5 working days.

I am not going to repeat my original posting, but after my last visit, he was the one who phoned us to say the owner had not paid for it and that is why it had not been delivered.

May be you need new staff!!!!

All of the above does not explain why I have in the past (starting from October last year) I have ordered 3 separate parts for various things from this company, and also enquires about specific printer cartridges, and have not received 1 single item....not even a phone call!! Each time enquiring about the order I was told they were waiting for the order to be dispatched.......after 9 months of being ignored , consider the orders cancelled!!

Sorry to say, but you can't embarass yourself by telling the way it is. If one has made a mistake apologise and put it right, just like our present council is doing for the previous council, ie El Oasis I am sure they are working day and night to right the injustice that was perpertrated on the Residents. "yer right"
